Is the Content of the DVD, available as a USB?
Yes it is available to purchase as a USB. As DVD drives on Laptops and Desktop Computers are becoming obsolete, our USB version is our 'best seller'. A smart design also with the Osteopathic Solutions logo imprinted on the USB.
Will this DVD Video make our Business compliant with UK Legislation?
Yes. Your Business will be compliant with the Manual Handling Operations Regulations and The Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974. For Best Practice Osteopathic Solutions recommends that the Bespoke Manual Handling Training DVD Video is presented in a Training Room, supportive of onsite, practical Manual Handling Training in the employees' working environment, as also recommended in the Guidance by the HSE.
Bespoke, or our 'Off the Shelf' Manual Handling Training DVD?
With our Manual Handling Training DVD you are getting a remarkable product with 2 hours of practical, Manual Handling Video Content, at a low cost £250. But it was not filmed in your Business' working environment. Having our Videographer (for example) on your factory floor gives your employees an exact understanding how to lift, carry, lower, push, pull and team handle the inanimate loads your Business has. Those awkward tasks, loads and environments can also be featured in the our Bespoke product.
After we have played the Video, what follow up can we do?
Firstly to record your employees' training with the Bespoke Manual Handling Training DVD Video, make sure you have a sign in sheet with the employees' names clearly written and for them to sign for their attendance. After watching the 15 Minute or 30 Minute Video, we recommend that employees take our 25 Question Multiple Choice Assessment, which clients receive as an emailed PDF, with the Answers PDF to allow for correct in-house marking. We then recommend Certification of their Attendance as well as stating the employee passed the Assessment. We can provide a Certificate Template by email.
Our Employee did not pass the Assessment. What should we do?
We can provide a 2nd 25 Question Multiple Choice Assessment PDF by email. We would also recommend that the employee is taken to their working environment with your in house Manual Handling Instructor (or Health & Safety Officer) and videoed performing their manual handling tasks with the best practices displayed in the 15 or 30 Minute DVD Video. If there was ever a claim from an employee this best practice approach will support your defence against the Injury Claim.
If an Employee is successful with an Injury Claim, how much can the pay out be?
In general, for Manual Handling injuries, Courts award compensation for the following:
