'' I have been a practising Osteopath for 13 years and a Manual Handling Instructor with Osteopathic Solutions since 2015. I believe that what makes Osteopathic Solutions such a successful unit is the collective base knowledge of all the Instructors with an eagerness both to inform and empower people to reduce the impact of physical strains on their daily lives.
My past includes 8 years in the Royal Navy followed by a career in light engineering.
The most rewarding thing about being a Manual Handling Instructor is to be told on completion of a Course that people acknowledge and understand the consequences of poor and hazardous manual handling and clearly have an intention to change for the better. ''
Was the course well structured by our trainer? Did it flow? If not, how could it have been improved?
It flowed very well and the structure kept it interesting and informative.
Were there any times that there were challenging attendees, & if so, how did our trainer manage them?
None at all
Can we make improvements to the course structure, organisation, presentation & delivery?
All was delivered well. No improvement needed.
Please pass on the following fantastic feedback to Jonathan.
I’ve just returned some of the example loads used in today’s training to the Kitchen. They guys were so enthusiastic and interested in the topic of manual handling I could hardly get away!
I also spoke to some of the office ladies who attended this afternoon’s session. They were smiling! And they couldn’t wait to tell me that it was so refreshing to hear, in a course of this title, HOW and WHY bad handling can affect our spines.
Never before have I seen and heard such enthusiasm from attendees of a manual handling course. Fantastic.

Just a quick email from all of us at Acorn Stairlifts to say how much we enjoyed Jonathan's 2 Day Instructor Assessor Course. It was delivered in a way that gently engaged us, but still made us want to listen. Amazed how much we all took in. I’m delivering a version of what Jonathan taught us a week tomorrow to the installers. I will be trying to replicate your style of delivery. Many thanks again.
Guy Howarth, Attendee
The 2 Day Instructor Assessor Course was thoroughly enjoyable & informative. Jonathan is an excellent teacher & being taught by an Osteopath means you gain a greater understanding of the potential damage you cause to yourself from mishandling as well as giving great knowledge on why to perform activities in certain ways.
Quality & HSE Manager
All three sessions were really well received by our warehouse teams and Jonathan got some very positive feedback from people who’d attended previous training courses and found them unhelpful. Everyone appreciated the explanation about how and why manual handling affects the spine.
On Thursday the warehouse manager emailed me to say they’d never received so mush positive feedback for a manual handling course. It definitely had a positive impact.
Jonathan is a good trainer and having someone with his knowledge and experience makes a significant contribution to the training.
Many thanks for providing an excellent training experience.
Christian Howe, Safety Manager,
Just wanted to drop you a note to say thank you for a very professional training course.
Jonathon was absolutely fantastic as the trainer. He was really professional, engaging and informative.
Everyone said it didn’t feel like two hours at all.
All our staff, even those that don’t usually comment, all came and raved about him.
Thank you very much for an excellent course that will be remembered for a long time.
Quality & EHS Manager
I have just asked our supervisors and have been told it was a very good course and they have all had good feedback from the operatives. The trainer was very knowledgeable and helpful. One operative said it was the best course we have every put them on! He even told a few of us desk bound people about sitting for too long etc! Very friendly man.
So many thanks from us all!

The overall feedback was very good; and really enjoyed the way the course was put together and how Jonathan Simmonds worked with the staff. In fact, the majority of the staff that I have spoken to said they thought the first part, the class based section was very interesting and informative.
Graham Owen, Parks & Gardens Operations Manager

All feedback great. Jonathan is a good trainer and all the better for being an Osteopath rather than a 'Health & Safety' trainer.

Can I ask if you can extend my thanks and appreciation to Jonathan on Cranswick's behalf.
The feedback I have been getting from employees who attended has been fantastic, and as always, Jonathan was engaging and entertaining with many positive comments coming my way on his knowledge and delivery.
Thank you again Gareth to yourself and your team and I look forward to working with Osteopathic Solutions more in the future.
